Paul Wolfowitz, World Bank President, came under fire for helping to negotiate a
big pay raise on behalf of a bank employee he was romantically involved with.
The bank's union called for and received his resignation as a result.
"In hindsight, I wish I had trusted my original instincts and kept myself out
of the negotiations," he said. "I made a mistake, for which I'm sorry."
