Austin now boasts that we are now the home of the Circuit of the Americas raceway which is the only Formula 1 track in the United States. For updated race information and accommodations and transportation available during the event, just race on over to the Formula 1 Event Center to keep current.


Officially the Arboretum is one shopping center, however the entire area has adopted the name and there is plenty of shopping within a few blocks. The shops are generally high end in a boutique-style open air environment.

One of Austin's newest malls, The Domain is an upscale mall but also offers regular shops that are affordable. It's an outdoor mall in that you walk outside between stores. It has several good restaurants as well.

Austin is widely known for its live music scene, and is home to many musical greats. Also, if you know Austin, you know about the large colony of Free-tail bats that reside here. In fact, every summer 1.5 million bats come to roost under the Congress Avenue bridge over Town Lake. Just one of the many attractions vividly shown in the Austin Tours Center.

The Arts thrive here, thanks in part to the University of Texas and a long-standing creative community. The Austin Symphony, the Austin Ballet, a number of public museums, and other galleries are all presented in the Austin Art Center.
